Beezie Madden wins bronze; Lamaze gold

American Beezie Madden won the bronze medal for individual jumping after an amazing jump-off with Germany's Meredith Michael-Beerbaum. Canada's Eric Lamaze had no penalties during his jumping rounds and claimed the gold medal.

van Grunsven beats Werth; Kemmer takes bronze

Dutch Anky van Grunsven beat her longtime German rival Isabell Werth in a stunning grand prix freestyle. Werth's teammate, Heike Kemmer took home bronze. American Steffen Peters placed fourth in individual dressage.

U.S. wins jumping final

The U.S. won the gold medal in the jumping competition after a jump-off with Canada. The U.S. riders had zero faults in the jump-off while the Canadians had four faults. In the individual competition, U.S. ride McLain Ward was tied for first with Canada's Eric Lamaze.

Germany's Isabell Werth led the individual dressage grand prix special. Werth received a higher score than Dutch rival Anky van Grunsven. American Steffen Peters claimed spot number four.

Team USA led after the first round of the jumping qualification with zero faults. Americans McLain Ward, Beezie Madden, and Will Simpson finished the round off with zero faults.

Germany wins dressage; Werth leads

The German dressage team won the gold medal, followed by the Netherlands and Denmark. Germany's Isabell Werth and Dutch Anky van Grunsven continued their longtime rivalry, with Werth scoring higher than van Grunsven in the qualifier. American Courtney King came in seventh.

Team Germany took the lead after the first round of the dressage qualifier. Germany's Heike Kemmer got off to a great start. American Courtney King-Dye got a 70.458 percent. The second half of the pack did not go until the following day.

Miles gets indidivual silver; Germany gold

American Gina Miles won the silver, the first U.S. medal in Equestrian, during the individual eventing final. Germany's Hinrich Romeike won the gold individual medal. Germany also won gold in the team eventing competition. The United States placed seventh.

Germany's Hinrich Romeike led in the individual eventing event after the cross-country portion. Germany and Australia continued to lead in the team rankings. The United States dropped to seventh place, but American Gina Miles moved up to fifth place in individual rankings.

Australia and Germany remained in the lead after the second day of individual and team dressage during eventing. Australia's Lucinda Fredericks still held the lead after day two.

After the first round of the eventing challenge (dressage), Australia led in the team event, followed by Germany and the United States. In individual standings, Australia's Lucinda Fredericks held the lead. American Rebecca Holder placed 5th.
